Roll Up Truck Bed Covers For Pickups

Roll up truck bed covers are versatile and useful accessories which few pickup trucks should be without. These soft covers never have to be removed, so if the need arises to carry an over-sized load, all that is required is to roll them up not go to the hassle of removing a cap or other hard-shell accessory. They are a more budget-friendly option than hard covers or shells and they store themselves right on the truck. Soft covers are also handy at keeping valuables away from prying eyes and therefore reduce the temptation of theft. They also come equipped with locks for added security.

When going camping, whether it's on a mountain or to the seashore, a truck bed cover may help out. They can be very handy when it comes to packing and securing possessions without the need for dry bags to keep everything from blowing around or getting wet in the event of rain, plus they protect from UV light damage. Add a twin or full size mattress to the truck bed and use a truck bed tent to get an instant campsite when you get to that camp ground. The soft cover will keep everything protected and ready to go. Just roll it back, pitch the tent on the truck bed and get ready for a night under the stars!

Roll up truck bed covers increase a truck's fuel efficiency by creating a more stream-lined profile to a truck. This allows the air to flow over the cover instead of creating an energy reducing wind eddy in the truck bed. If heavy snow accumulation is possible, look for a cover which has strong bows which support the cover across the truck bed. If the are made of a tubular aluminum, they will provide excellent strength without adding too much weight.

For those on the job or going to the ski slopes or to the water, there are combination roll up truck bed covers with racks. These racks are available in a few different setups and can hold lumber, ladders, skis, bicycles, kayaks and canoes. They are a must have for a pickup truck.
